Has it occurred to anyone that the press is missing the underlying reason for the large attendance at the town hall meetings?
It appears that all of the focus is on Healthcare legislation and its present flaws, future flaws and a complete lack of faith that it will improve any time soon.
As I opined before, I believe is is all about a lack of trust and I am more and more convinced that it is a fear of GOVERNMJENT-RUN ANYTHING.
SO far the number of LIES are pretty even with the number of HALF-TRUTHS. Unfortunately, the amount of OBFUSCATION out-weighs them both. I believe both Beck and Limbaugh are 100% correct when they (I paraphrase) say 'While the right hand distracts, the left hand is creating havoc".
For me, the Tea Parties, are venues to vent anger. We are primarily a Christian Nation and we are ALL raised to respect the truth and tend to be very leery of those who would lie to us. Remember when a trusted friend was caught in a lie? Remember how long(if ever) it took to forgive entirely and trust again? More often than not, after the lie, that person raises a bit of a "red flag" no matter how hard they try to convince otherwise.
This Administration has lied (more than once).....I find not only the "red Flag" thing going on, but those little hairs on the back of my neck-that natural "warning system" -going off any time he or one of his minions speak.
Remember last week? The "Cash for Clunker" program was a huge success? Funny, this morning while watching Fox and Friends, I find out from a car dealer that only a small percentage of cash has actually been spent. This administration has left dealers high and dry! The dealers don't know when they are getting paid and the applications are long and complicated and (AFTER THE DEAL HAS BEEN MADE) the car turned in -is turned down-no 4500.00 dollars-the Dealer is in the hole. Now the Dems are asking (and have received) 2 billion more to squander. Please tell me what the "meaning of IS, IS"

Regarding the healthcare debacle, it is said that there is no funding required "specifically" so "it will not happen. Funny, they said the same thing about medicaid. Once it had passed and abortions were funded, it was taken to court where the "Supremes" said it is a "medical procedure, therefore it has to be covered until/or unless Congress places specific wording in a bill that denies coverage.
It has been reported that there have been 8 or 9 bills introduced to deny Federal money for abortions, these have been turned down and or never let out of committee.
SARAH PALIN HAS IT RIGHT! The so called "independent board" to be required and funded by this bill(by the appointed(not elected) by the President) will determine what is treated and how it is treated. Now you tell me what the ultimate outcome will be if one is trying save money on paper, but make sure your butt is covered.
The previously passed and signed stimulus bill, the previously passed budget were both passed without the members reading it. They were "surprised" when they found out what we, the tax payers" are funding.I have no idea why we pay them so much, they don't write the bills,they don't read the bills-What else is there? I don't get paid to lie, why should they?
No matter what is said, no matter what they say they have done,ALWAYS remember, "THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAILS"! When you hear a member of our Government say the sky is blue, you had better get out the sand bags.
THE GOVERNMENT HAS ABSOLUTELY NO BUSINESS IN HEALTHCARE ANYWAY! Medicare/medicaid are unconstitutional.Frankly, the Government has it's nose in way to much that is unconstitutional. Why do you think they have control over our education system?THEY DO NOT WANT YOU TO LEARN THE TRUTH!
This whole pile of crap is an affront to our Founding Fathers" and to every hard-working,independent legal citizen of this country.

Can we all agree the Constitution is under assault? Now the whitehouse has appointed a new CZAR. He wants Private Radio stations to fund Public radio stations.....What is wrong with this picture?
If the private radio stations say something the FCC doesn't like, they can be fined up to 250,000,000.00.Mr. LLoyd (new Czar) started working on July 29th. He wants to totally illiminate free speech by sueing it to death.
This is one of many reasons not to trust our Government as it sits right now.

The conversation has evolved (again) into something different. It has "morphed" into Insurance reform by bashing insurance companies....Don't ask me how that works, but it seems it has happened.
The "Insurance Crisis" has been manufactured and the rhetoric is flying.....Don't let it fool you, it is the same as" healthcare crisis", "climate crisis" etc., if there is no crisis-MANUFACTURE ONE ,THEN TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE FEAR.
The ploy has worked so often in the past, it has become a political norm, until now.
Thank GOD for Rush,Glenn,Fox News,the Heritage Foundation and all of the others that have had to elbow their way into the conversation, but are successfully getting the truth out there to be weighed evenly with the lies. Don't get lazy, it is still up to you to do your homework and figure out the truth, but the aforementioned have done the research with access to information you and I could only hope to lay our hands on, nor does the average Conservative have the time to hunt....they are working!

NO TAX INCREASE?

If there has been no tax increase-I want to know where all my money went this month? I admit, I smoke and I have bought cigarettes. I drink and I have bought scotch. I live in a modest home and I am sure (according to the local paper) that I have an increase in my property tax. Oh, alright, I am splitting hairs,Obama isn't raising my taxes. If the fool read the constitution, he hasn't got the authority to raise taxes-only Congress does.
I saw an item on Fox News this morning. Russia's life span is 55 for men-60 for women...the reason..they smoke and drink to much.What is Russia doing? NOTHING! THEY WON'T EVEN RAISE CIGARETTE TAXES! Bottled water is more expensive! Why you might ask, Because they do not have the money to continue paying for everyone's healthcare and all other government programs!
How stupid can Congress be???? How stupid can the state legislators be?
They don't have to be taking all this flak on the proposed healthcare bill over the possibility of euthanasia, all they have to do is repeal ALL taxes on cigarettes, booze, fast food restaurants, sugar, processed foods,etc.... and we all are allowed to commit voluntary suicide at a much younger age and we save ALL of that asocial security,medicare,medicaid money for them to play with!
